One of the biggest terminals in the world, Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) boasts of four runways. The newly-developed terminal was inaugurated in 2010 with a capacity to handle up to 40 million passengers every year.
T3 operates both international and domestic flights with the lower tier serving as the arrivals area and the upper tier functioning as the departures area. Boasting of direct metro connectivity, self check-in kiosks, airport hotel, business centre, and DigiYatra service, T3 ensures a comfortable journey for the flyers. With expansive interiors and beautiful landscaped exteriors, it is nothing short of an architectural marvel.
Each level is split into the international and domestic areas as follows below:
The ground level at T3 is the arrivals area providing access to Delhi Metro and services like the information desk, and baggage claim area, among others. The domestic arrivals deboard at the domestic arrivals pier, while the international arrival passengers get off at the international arrivals pier at ground level.
Operating as the departure area, the first level at T3 offers separate access to international and domestic gates. Services including check-in counters, currency exchange, international security, and immigration area available at this level.
The second level at Terminal 3, Delhi Airport, houses a few lounges for flyers to relax and food courts where they can enjoy culinary delights.
The third level of Terminal 3, Delhi Airport, is dedicated to airport lounges. Here, flyers can relax in luxurious surroundings until it is time for take-off.
This area at the Delhi Airport houses luxurious airport lounges. Flyers can comfortably sit here and enjoy high-class amenities and delightful delicacies.
The fifth level houses Delhi Airport’s transit hotel (domestic and international wings). Here, international and domestic passengers with connecting flights from DEL, T3, can refresh and rejuvenate for a seamless and convenient journey.

A handy guide to help commute to and from terminal 3, Delhi Airport
Delhi Airport offers a complimentary shuttle service for passengers to commute between terminals. Both flyers and staff can avail of this facility.
The Inter-Terminal Transfer Counter at T3 is situated on arrival Near Pillar No. 10. Follow the signages after dropping bags to reach the shuttle. After presenting your boarding pass to the officer in charge at the kiosk, you can board the transit bus.

The Airport Express or Orange Line links Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector- 25 to the Airport (T-3) metro station in approximately 16 minutes. For issuing a ticket, flyers can use the automatic Ticket Issuing Machine (TIM) at T3 domestic and international arrivals.
The first metro runs at 5:30 am, while the last train arrives at 11:30 pm at T3.
A train arrives at an interval of 10 minutes during peak hours and 15 minutes during non-peak hours.
To transit to and from T3, prepaid cabs, OLA, Uber, Meru cabs, WTi cabs, Mega cabs, and Carzonrent among others are available. Flyers can book cab services via their smartphones or by calling their offices.
Taxis can be booked for commuting between the terminals from the Taxi Counters inside the airport premises. Flyers can board the taxi from the T3 Arrival Forecourt.
